Tuesday Night Wolftrap Ride a Go |

 During Daylight Savings Time, the club rides "The Wolftrap Ride" on Tuesday evenings. For the next few weeks, we will meet at 5:30 p.m. until the daylight lasts long enough to allow us to start later. We normally leave Quincy Park in Arlington, VA (coner of Washington Blvd. and Quincy Street) at 6 p.m. Some members will catch the ride en route. After a short warm up, the pace gets animated. Battles for bragging rights are Spring HIll Road (aka "Sprint HIll), Clarks Crossing, the Idylwood Overpass, and the dreaded Powhattan climb. The terrain is rolling hills and the distance is approximately 30 miles.

Lanterne Rouge is not all about riding. It's also about talking smack before, during, and after rides. "It's like a rolling lockerroom," says the club's Founder and President, Seth Turner (aka, The Weasel). "But instead of snapping towels at eachother, we put the screws to each other dashing for the top of the hills or sstop signs." In days of yore, team smack was limited to face-to-face convesations or on email. Now with the advancements of Blogs, we can air our dirty laundy for all to see.
